Books
This week I read:
Volume 6 of the Rozen Maiden anniversary edition by Peach-Pit
It’s hard to know what to write about Rozen Maiden, 80+ chapters in, because the story is just very high-context. Describing the events of one book wouldn’t make any sense at all. That said, it continues to be good, and much better than the anime adaptation which I feel abbreviated the end of the story far too much.
Roleplaying Games
We’re back to alternating campaigns: this week one of the players started running D&D 4e, next week I’ll be starting a Secrets of the Ancients campaign using Traveller. I’ve been reading through the book and making preparations and I think it’ll be a good time. On the whole it’s a fun adventure, but there are a few moments where the players need to make a certain decision for the game to work… Thankfully, Seth Skorkowsky has an amazing campaign diary series covering it which addresses those points, so I’m at least going in prepared.
Miscellaneous
Clocks changed this week, I fear the pigeons will break in and kill me before they get used to being fed an hour later.
